In his latest video review, Greg Toope takes a look at ouTask Light, a new task management tool that's designed to be simple and easy to use. Greg Toope is a vlogger of tech reviews and unboxing. And he's always on the lookout for new tools. So let's hear what he says about the ouTask light that is the Kickstarter group founding:

Why ouTask Light: Greg enjoys his backyard patio on summer nights

Maybe you also love doing these activities like Greg:

  • Host a barbecue or potluck. Invite friends and family over for a cookout or potluck. You can grill burgers, hot dogs, chicken, or fish, or make some of your favorite dishes to share. Set up some tables and chairs on the patio, and enjoy the company of your loved ones.
  • Have a movie night. Set up a projector and screen on the patio, and watch a movie under the stars. You can bring out some snacks and drinks, and make it a fun and relaxing evening.
  • Play games. There are all sorts of games that you can play on the patio, such as cornhole, ladder toss, or badminton. You can also bring out a board game or card game, and enjoy some friendly competition.
  • Read a book. Find a comfortable spot on the patio, and curl up with a good book. You can also bring out a journal or sketchbook, and get creative.
  • Just relax. Sometimes the best thing to do is just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of your backyard patio. Take a few deep breaths, and let the stress of the day melt away.

Take ouTask LED light for camping or backyard playing. Then you are able to use it for a few nights with only one-time charging. 45 hours working for low mode output.

USB A and USB C Port Design: Great Battery and Easy-charging

ouTask LED light's battery is with USB A and USB C Port Design. You can charge the ouTask easily with a USB C port. And use the USB A port to charge your phones.

The USB C port is the newer, more versatile port, and it's becoming more common on devices. The USB A port is the more common port, and it's what you'll find on most computers and chargers.

Here are some of the benefits of having a USB A and USB C port design:

  • Versatility: You can charge the ouTask with either a USB A or USB C cable. This means that you can use the ouTask with a wider variety of devices.
  • Future-proof: The USB C port is the newer, more versatile port, and it's becoming more common on devices. This means that the ouTask will be compatible with more devices in the future.
  • Convenience: You can use the USB A port to charge your phone while you're charging the ouTask. This can be helpful if you're on the go and you need to keep both devices charged.

Tripod Design: How to Activate

In the shipping, ouTask light did not provide instruction paper in the box. How to make the tripod extend? In the video, Greg tries to figure it out for a few seconds, but he eventually has it done:

There's a little button on the bottom. You can press the button to extend the tripod! ouTask is not only an  LED telescopic light but also a steady tripod-based light.

Drawback: Tripod's Spring Not Tight Enough

According to Greg, the ouTask LED light's tripod spring is not as tight as it could be. This can make it difficult to keep the light in place, especially if there is a lot of wind.

Here are some tips for dealing with the loose tripod spring:

  • Use a heavier tripod. A heavier tripod will be more stable and less likely to be affected by wind.
  • Use a counterweight. A counterweight can help to balance the light and make it more stable.
  • Tie the light down. You can tie the light down to the tripod or to a nearby object to help keep it in place.
  • Replace the tripod spring. If the tripod spring is too loose, you can replace it with a tighter spring.

The ouTask LED light will deal with the loose tripod spring in the future!

3 Hooks: Nailing Into the Ground

Greg does not know what the 3 hooks are for. Actually, the 3 hooks can be used to nail the ouTask Lights' tripod into the ground.

This makes it easy to set up the light in any location, even if there is no tripod available.

Here are some tips for nailing the ouTask LED light into the ground:

  • Choose a spot that is level and free of debris.
  • Use a hammer to drive the nails into the ground.
  • Make sure that the nails are secure and that the light is stable.

Adjustable Illumination Angel and Colour Temperature

The ouTask LED light has an adjustable illumination angle and color temperature. This means that you can customize the light to fit your needs. As Greg showing in the video:

Here are some of the benefits of having an adjustable illumination angle and color temperature:

  • Versatility: You can use the ouTask light for a variety of tasks, such as reading, camping, or working on a project.
  • Comfort: You can adjust the light to the brightness and color temperature that you prefer. This can help to reduce eye strain and make it more comfortable to use the light for extended periods of time.
  • Aesthetics: You can adjust the light to create the desired atmosphere. For example, you can use a warm color temperature for a relaxing mood or a cool color temperature for a more energetic mood.

Turn-off Operation: Hold a Few Seconds

I understand why Greg might be confused about how to turn off the ouTask light. The instructions are not very clear. Here is a more common design to turn off the ouTask light:

  1. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
  2. The light will blink twice to confirm that it is turning off.
  3. The light will then turn off.

Maybe in this way, people can easily take care of the turn-off process. But for now, we just hold it without blinking to tell us it's going to be off.

Unboxing Conclusion

The ouTask LED light is a great option for outdoor and camping night activities. It is lightweight, portable, and has a long battery life. It also has a variety of features that make it versatile and convenient to use, such as an adjustable illumination angle, color temperature, and tripod mount. However, the tripod spring is not as tight as it could be, which can make it difficult to keep the light in place, especially if there is a lot of wind. Overall, the ouTask LED light is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and versatile light for outdoor and camping activities.
